Rigpa Fellowship is registered in the U.S. as a religious non-profit. We are classed under the GDPR regulations as a data controller. Payment & Billing Information

All credit card information is processed by a third party payment processor, who specializes in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. We do not retain any sensitive credit card information on our servers. We do retain other pertinent details about the financial transactions for our bookkeeping purposes.
Event-Specific Information
For certain courses, events and retreats, we may ask additional questions on our registration forms to help event organizers and instructors to best prepare for and facilitate the event.

Email lists

Based on the information we receive from certain questions on forms and registration pages on our website, as well as from information we get through our website analytics, we may make certain improvements to our platforms and the services we offer.

When you register for events- so that we can process your application and any payments, and where applicable, arrange accommodation and activities.
When you register for courses- so we can process your application and any payment involved as well as inform you of venue and other details.
When you apply for or renew a membership subscription- so we can process your application, any payments, and facilitate offering you the services promised.
When you place any order on our website- so that we can process your payment, confirm transaction details (typically via email) and arrange delivery of any goods and services.

The safety of your Personal Information is very important to us and we take measures to ensure that it’s treated securely. Any information you transmit to us is encrypted and protected with SSL encryption. Who can access your information?
The Rigpa Fellowship staff require access to personal information such as name, address, phone, email and other pertinent information in order to process membership and facilitate events or courses for which you have registered. Our bookkeepers maintain access to information about any financial transactions. For certain events, some instructors and key volunteers will be granted temporary access to certain relevant information to help facilitate the running of the event.

When you make purchases or donations through our website, your donation or payment is processed by a third party payment processor, who specialises in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. We also contract with a third party to help us manage our email list, keep it secure, and maintain its integrity.

Where is your data stored?
The servers where our sites are hosted are all located within the U.S. If you choose to provide your information to us, please be aware that we transfer this information to our servers in the U.S. for processing. Retention Period
We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations. We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you may hold with us.

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information Rigpa has about you. Please note we have a small staff and any request may take up to a month to fulfill.
How to withdraw your consent?
This pertains to the consent you give us to send you emails through our mailing list, and to contact you based on your membership subscription. For email, you simply have to click the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of any email to immediately withdraw your consent. For membership, please contact our bookkeeper at finance.us@rigpa.org with your request.
How you can delete your information (right to be forgotten)
If you wish for us to remove all of your personal information, please write to info.us@rigpa.org with your request. We will respond to you within 5 business days.
Changes to this Policy
This Privacy Policy is effective as of the date posted at the bottom of this page. We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time so please check back periodically. Your continued use of our Sites after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.
